I ran into a little bump w them, they parted ways with me towards the end, but that was my fault. My emotions got a little out of hand but to be clear, I didn’t raise my voice, or use any expletives, I wasn’t angry, I was very worried my attorney was not planning on providing the judge (who is not a medical doctor) with some type of medical literature to prove how common it is for bi polar patients to have serious insomnia and circadian rhythm problems. The panic was due to the fact that Stand alone insomnia cases lose every time, BUT proving the bi polar connection vastly improves the chances of a win. So , I was complaining about that to their assistant. I think I said -“it’s common sense to know the importance of presenting medical literature to the judge proving the bipolar connection to my insomnia issues, …one doesn’t have to be an attorney to know that”. “oopsy”. lol. I sent an apology email 5 minutes after that. But apologies don’t always reverse comments that lean towards being disrespectful. Sometimes Words come out of my mouth in instant , often with no pre-thought when I’m excitable. And afterwards I say to myself “Did I just say that?” Or “what just came out of my mouth” 😮. Not good! lol. Almost every medical literature says the following about bi polar disorder. …….. “It is very common for people with bipolar disorder to struggle with controlling intense emotions, especially anger and irritability. Anger and severe irritability easily sit in the top three most disruptive symptoms with bi polar disease”. - Many a time I’ve lost emotional control so bad I would sit for an hour straight copying and pasting the same wrathful words w no breaks . It kind of freaks people out. It can take an hour to release the energy. Bi polar is the bane of my existence. (Sigh) Secondly, I think we’ve all heard of the phrase “ death by a thousand cuts"? I think I unknowingly tortured my attorney by “death by a thousand ChatGPT sourced questions. Im addicted to it because my experience with it is that it is shockingly accurate. And that degree of accuracy allows me to be my own advocate and have peace of mind that my case is going in the right direction and we’re not missing anything. It was all extremely unfortunate because literally several hours after that emotional phone call, I got back on my ChatGPT horse again to see just how damaging it could be presenting a case without medical literature on my particular disease’s connection to severe sleep disorders. During that process I discovered that the judges actually have a reference manual, akin to a blue book that details the connection between bipolar and severe insomnia and circadian rhythm dysfunctions. It’s so weird to think that this concern I had that blew things up would have never even happened had I been informed that the judges have a manual that actually explains in detail the insomnia connection, it’s severity, etc. And looking back I suppose I lacked common sense to realize that due to their years of experience, they’ve probably seen hundreds of bipolar cases and already know the sleep connection and that never crossed my mind till it was too late which I feel pretty stupid about also. I always admit my mistakes, I made several late in the process. But I was a little surprised it hit hard enough to actually drop the case cause I think it actually has a pretty good chance to win. I feel bad for them because of the 2 years of work they put into it and they were very honorable to release the fee hold so I could get another attorney to take my case to the finish line . In conclusion, honestly, I highly recommend them. I feel the process they have set up is very efficient. Had no problems. I’m just a head case and it’s nothing new(sigh).
